Our home was damaged from a storm and requires immediate attention, can you help?
Yes. S. Robideau can be to your home within two hours of the initial call 24 hours a day. Storms can create unique situations that an average contractor is unable to handle. S. Robideau can remove trees fallen on roofs, extracted water and dry your home, board up broken doors and windows, provide temporary demo and shoring to for a safe structure, provide temp power, and or tarp your roof to create a weather tight envelope. Our goal is to provide fast service to secure and prevent further damage to your property.
Is S. Robideau Construction licensed and insured?
Yes. Our Minnesota Contractor License Number is 20130818 and we are a fully insured restoration contractor. We are also members of the Better Business Bureau and many other trade organizations.
There are so many storm chasers knocking at our door, what makes S. Robideau construction different?
Most likely you were referred to our company by your insurance company, adjuster, agent, or your city. We do not solicit door to door! S. Robideau has earned the status of preferred vendor with numerous insurance companies due to our high quality standards, attention to detail, our dedication to one industry (restoration), over communication with clients and proven performance over time. We have worked on 1000’s roofing, siding, and storm projects just like yours.
Do I need more than one bid to select a contractor?
No. It is your right to select a contractor, not the cheapest priced contractor. S. Robideau utilizes industry specific Xactimate software and quarterly updated price lists. Most insurance companies and adjusters write estimates from this software or something very close to it. Your representative from S. Robideau will work with your adjuster to agree upon the scope of damage and the course of action to be taken. Before any repairs are made we will have an agreed estimate with your insurance company or at a minimum an authorization to begin repairs.
Can I change my single and siding colors?
Yes. Your insurance provider will pay for equal or like kind and quality material on your home. A representative from S. Robideau will provide you with colors and samples of products needed to restore your home.
How long will the roof take to replace?
Most roofing projects will be completed in one day. Materials, dumpster and permit will be dropped off the day before the scheduled start date. On the scheduled date of work the roof will be compete, your S. Robideau production coordinator will complete a 10 point inspection, the dumpster company will be called for a removal, and a final inspection will be scheduled. If your roof is extremely large or difficult due to pitch or design your S. Robideau representative will discuss with you the completion time line.
What is depreciation?
Depreciation is the reduction in the value of an asset due to usage, passage of time, wear and tear, outdating or obsolescence, and other similar factors. Most insurance policies include depreciation on selected items in their estimate. Recoverable depreciation is refunded to the homeowner when the repairs are completed.
